Radiation Therapist Casual Pool NSW Health is seeking experienced and suitably qualified Radiation Therapists to join our team as part of the Casual Pool and assist us in providing coverage for unplanned workforce requirements. Overview Work in a supportive environment at Royal North Shore Hospital, applying state‑of‑the‑art radiation therapy and evidence‑based practice to deliver high quality patient care. Responsibilities Support the radiation therapy team by covering short‑term staffing gaps to ensure continued provision of services. Undertake a full range of duties expected of a Radiation Therapist, planning and delivering accurate and precise radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by Radiation Oncologists. Play a proactive role in the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimum patient processing, technical delivery and patient care. Operate equipment and adhere to Health & Safety procedures and the professional Code of Conduct of Northern Sydney Health and the Radiation Codes of Conduct of Royal North Shore Hospital. Deliver services to the highest professional and technical standards to facilitate optimum patient throughput and efficiency. Qualifications Graduate of a course in Medical Radiation Science – Radiation Therapy, accredited by the Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (ASMIRT) and eligible for licensure by the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) NSW and registration by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Demonstrate sound knowledge and experience in all aspects of radiation therapy, multimodality image‑based treatment planning and delivery that may include TBI, SRS, Exactrac, 4DCT and 4DCBCT, IMRT and VMAT, MLC tracking. Demonstrate knowledge and application of radiation therapy quality assurance and quality controls.
