Lead Civil Engineer - water and wastewater Telos Brisbane, QLD A$170,000 p/a + benefits based on experience On-site Posted 2 days ago This is an opportunity to lead, grow, and build something new within a long-established consultancy that has been delivering iconic projects across Queensland and NSW for decades. As the Lead Civil Engineer , you’ll establish and grow a new water business unit within a respected multi-disciplinary team, backed by internal referrals and strong cross-functional collaboration. You’ll have the autonomy to shape your own team, drive project excellence, and create enduring value for the communities you serve. What You’ll Deliver Technical leadership across a diverse portfolio of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Oversight of feasibility, design, and delivery phases for pipelines,pump stations, treatment plants, and associated civil infrastructure. Mentoring and development of emerging engineers while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture. Client engagement and project delivery for local and state government clients, ensuring technical excellence and commercial outcomes. What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (essential). RPEQ registration or ability to obtain within 6 months. Minimum 10+ years of experience in water and wastewater infrastructure, ideally within consulting or design environments. Knowledge of the local QLD market is a must for this client facing role. Demonstrated success leading projects, teams, and client relationships across local government and utility sectors. Strong understanding of industry standards, design codes, and regulatory frameworks. A proactive, collaborative mindset with a focus on building capability and delivering sustainable outcomes.
