We’re looking for a reliable and passionate Café Chef / Cook to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced café environment, takes pride in consistent, well‑presented food, and understands the importance of teamwork and prep efficiency. You’ll be responsible for preparing and cooking café‑style meals, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting smooth day‑to‑day kitchen operations. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook café menu items, including breakfast and lunch service Ensure food is prepared to a high standard of quality, consistency, and presentation Assist with daily prep, service setup, and pack‑down Follow food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards at all times Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workstation Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and stock rotation Work closely with the Head Chef and front‑of‑house team to ensure smooth service Minimise waste and contribute to efficient kitchen operations Skills & Experience Previous experience as a chef or cook in a café Strong breakfast and brunch experience preferred Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods Good knife skills and understanding of basic cooking techniques Knowledge of food safety standards Reliable, punctual, and team‑focused attitude What We’re Looking For Positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to follow systems while also working independently Pride in cleanliness and organisation Willingness to learn and grow with the business Availability for mornings, weekends, and public holidays What We Offer Friendly, supportive team environment Consistent hours for the right candidate Opportunity to grow with a developing café business Competitive pay based on experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
