Position Details Science / STEM Teacher (Junior Primary) Assumption Catholic Primary School is a vibrant, double-stream co-educational school from Pre-Kindy to Year 6. This position offers the chance to implement evidence-based teaching practices, ensuring every student reaches their full potential. Ideal candidates will : Be highly motivated and committed to improving student outcomes through high-impact teaching approaches. Use ongoing assessment to check for understanding, differentiate teaching, and plan next steps. Work collaboratively to implement whole-school approaches and take collective responsibility for all students. Have experience with Teach Well (highly regarded). Commit to ongoing professional learning and growth, including coaching, classroom observation, and feedback. Ability to differentiate teaching to cater to student needs. Skill in using data to inform teaching practices and raise student achievement. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students and parents. Positive, professional, and enthusiastic attitude with a growth mindset and a desire to continue to improve. Strong understanding of the Western Australian & Australian Science Curriculum. Commitment to evidence-based educational practices, particularly high-impact instruction. Proven ability to plan collaboratively, implement whole school approaches consistently and take collective responsibility for students. Proficiency in ICT skills, especially iPads. A passion for Science. Actively contribute to the life of the school. Qualifications Required Applicants must be prepared to support the Catholic ethos in the performance of their duties; Relevant four year tertiary qualification; Accreditation to Teach Religious Education Learning Area, or the ability to achieve Accreditation to Teach Religious Education.
