Events Manager

As Events Manager for a brand new startup charity, your role is critical in allowing us to run effective fundraisers and other events. You will co-ordinate and plan events to the high standard that NourishEd is becoming known for, using your skills and experience to take our events to the next level. You will be responsible for managing and planning all of our events, from small to massive. Required Skills Previous experience managing events and/or fundraisers You will need to be good with technology Confident and polite attitude Organised and can stick to a schedule Strong communication and negotiation skills Ability to remain calm and adaptable under pressure Knowledge of budgeting and managing event costs Main Duties Attend the shop in-person on average 1 day per week to report progress and meet with other managers Correspond with third parties to confirm dates/locations for events Plan the activities, timelines, and logistics of each event and co-ordinate with other volunteers to run them smoothly Create and maintain event budgets, keeping costs in line with fundraising goals Ensure compliance with local/state laws, permits, and third-party venue guidelines Promote events in collaboration with our marketing team to drive attendance and engagement Use our online documentation and collaboration system (Confluence and Jira) Oversee event setup and pack-down, and evaluate event success with post-event reporting Your contribution as Events Manager will have an enormous impact on our ability to serve the community.
