Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery, improvement, research and education. On 1 January 2026, Alfred Health will join Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service to create Bayside Health, a newly merged health service with more than 22,000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians. The new health service will provide people with the best possible care with services that support them throughout their lives. The merger will also strengthen our workforce, providing new training, education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health. Applications are invited for the position of Specialist in Respiratory Medicine – Clinical Immunology (Fractional) , responsible to the Service Head, Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology. This 8.75‑hour‑per‑week role provides clinical care to patients primarily within the Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology Service and is actively engaged in patient care, research and education. Key Responsibilities Provide clinical care to patients with allergic and immunologic conditions, and asthma. Perform drug allergy testing, food challenges, and other allergy‑related procedures according to Alfred Health and ASCIA protocols. Engage in patient care, research, and education activities. Qualifications Legally qualified medical practitioner, registered or registrable with AHPRA. Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Substantial experience in Clinical Allergy & Immunology, and experience with allergy procedures (e.g., laryngoscopy during oral food challenge). Immunopathology experience is desirable. Experience in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research is desirable.
