Head of Program Management

To help us get there, we’re looking for a Head of Program Management who can turn ideas into impact. This role is about leading a program that drives real business change. You’ll connect strategy with delivery, guiding cross-functional teams to prioritise what matters most and make every initiative count. You’ll bring people together, simplify complexity, and serve as the primary escalation point for major delivery roadblocks, to ensure every milestone brings us closer to our vision. What you’ll do Lead, manage the evolution of, and govern the APAC Mobility program, ensuring investment decisions are prioritised, maintain strategic alignment and deliver measurable business impact Drive end-to-end delivery excellence — from shaping ideas to execution, benefits realisation, and continuous improvement. Build strong partnerships with senior leaders, empowering smarter decisions through insight and transparency. Partner with operational and BAU teams (e.g. Service & Operations, Credit, Finance, Product) to proactively assess the impact of the project portfolio on current state activities, ensuring smooth transition and readiness for change. Manage regional/global Interdependencies through proactively identifying and resolving conflicts, risks, and resource dependencies across multiple geographies and WEX functional divisions (e.g. Product, Technology, Finance) Monitor Portfolio ROI and Benefits Realisation, including the tracking of project costs, ensuring accurate forecasting, and validating that defined business benefits (financial and strategic) are fully realised and measured post-implementation. Drive governance, accountability, and collaboration, making complexity manageable and delivery predictable. Mentor, lead and develop the Program team, building capability, confidence, and a shared sense of purpose. Work with Project Managers to ensure cross-functional delivery across Product, Tech, and Commercial teams, ensuring every initiative delivers measurable customer and business value. Embed data-driven reporting and portfolio analytics (Tableau, Jira, etc.) to provide leadership with actionable insights on delivery health and benefits realisation. What you’ll bring A growth mindset and passion for driving transformation through people, process, and purpose. Proven ability to thrive in high-growth, fast-evolving environments where agility, prioritisation, and influencing across matrixed teams are key. Experience leading, multi-stream project portfolios or PM’s in dynamic, regulated industries — ideally payments, financial services, or mobility. Demonstrated ability to translate high-level commercial strategy into tangible technical and operational delivery. Proven ability to design and run an effective Portfolio Review cadence, providing insightful, data-driven commentary on portfolio health, strategic drift, and delivery confidence to the senior leadership team Strong command of project and enterprise-level portfolio management methodologies (e.g. PMI, PRINCE2, Agile-at-scale). Experience leveraging tools such as Tableau, Jira etc A strategic, commercially minded approach — balancing the big picture with delivery excellence. Exceptional communication and stakeholder influence skills; you know how to align diverse voices behind a shared goal.
