Chef De Partie | Patterson Lakes - Pegasus Leisure Group We are looking for a talented and passionate Full Time Chef De Partie to join the PLG team at The Cove Hotel in Patterson Lakes. You’ll have the opportunity to manage a designated kitchen section, supervise junior staff, and assist the team with menu development. The Cove Hotel is a premier dining and entertainment venue offering spectacular water views on the marina in Patterson Lakes. The bistro offers contemporary casual dining in a relaxed setting, catering to traditional indoor seating and a deck area capturing the marina view. Responsibilities Maintain control and leadership in the kitchen during service times in allocated sections. Assist with the induction of new employees when required. Maintain professional relationships with external suppliers. Prepare and cook menu according to cooking guidelines and set standards. Work in conjunction with the head chef to develop and implement a menu. Ensure all staff follow safety procedures. The role is fast‑paced and may include tasks such as lifting boxes, kegs or stock, standing for long periods of time, and using stairs. Qualifications Hold a Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent). Food Handlers Certificate. Experience working in a pub/bistro fast‑paced environment. Well‑versed in all kitchen areas with hands‑on experience. Ability to follow and give directions when required. Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Full working rights in Australia. Benefits Ongoing learning & development opportunities.
