Start 2026 with a clean slate and a leadership role About us Wilson Diesel Services is a family‑owned mechanical business supporting mining, civil and corporate fleets across the Barkly. Our business is growing and we are recruiting 2x experienced Light Vehicle leading hands to go back to back to lead day‑to‑day operations, lift productivity and drive standards in a busy, fast‑moving environment. What you’ll be doing Working on the floor leading the team Supervising LV workshop operations, allocating work, managing mechanics, apprentices and TA’s Helping to recruit and manage staff Overseeing diagnostics, repairs and servicing across corporate fleets, mine‑spec vehicles and general walk‑ins Enforcing WHS, site requirements and quality standards Helping to manage LV parts, stock, consumables and inventory control Implementing process improvements to streamline workflow and reduce downtime Coaching and developing apprentices and junior staff Maintaining accurate job cards, service records and compliance paperwork What we’re looking for Minimum 2 years in an LV supervisory, leading hand or senior mechanic role High‑level technical capability across various makes and models, mainly 4x4 Strong organisational and workforce coordination skills Clear communication and client‑facing confidence Proven stock control and workshop management experience Relevant trade qualification (Light Vehicle Mechanic) Current C‑Class licence What we offer Competitive salary plus incentives 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off – Alice, Katherine, Darwin Flights, accommodation and meals Direct access to owners and decision‑makers Strong career progression within a growing regional business #J-18808-Ljbffr
