This growth has created an opportunity for an Associate or Senior Structural Engineer with expertise in water‑retaining structures to join our Water Utilities team. About The Role You will support or lead and execute the structural engineering scope on multi‑disciplinary water infrastructure projects of varying complexity and size. Your technical expertise will be critical in the planning, design, and delivery of innovative solutions while fostering a culture of excellence within the team. In this role you will: Manage structural design for water infrastructure assets, including pipelines, sewer networks, pump stations, and water‑retaining structures. Provide structural input for proposals and contribute to business development and client engagement. Drive innovation through Digital Engineering and BIM‑based coordination across disciplines. Conduct condition assessments, technical reviews, and design verifications. Apply Safety‑in‑Design principles, ensuring compliance with OHS&E and quality standards. Mentor junior engineers and graduates, building technical capability within the team. About You Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering. 6–10+ years’ experience as a Structural Engineer, with at least 5 years in the water industry. RPEQ registration (or eligibility); Chartered status for Associate level. Strong technical background in reinforced concrete, structural steel, and water‑retaining structures compliant with Australian Standards. Proven ability to manage projects from concept through detailed design and contribute to proposals. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and technical reporting.
