Technician - Field Service, Gold Coast Komatsu Australia is seeking a Field Service Technician based on the Gold Coast. This role requires travel to customer sites to provide competent and efficient service, maintenance, and repair of Komatsu equipment. The technician will work semi‑autonomously, managing workload and scheduling of jobs. Roster Monday – Friday day shift 7am–4pm (regular overtime often available). On‑call one week per month. Location Home based – servicing the Gold Coast metro and greater Gold Coast region. Pay rate $50.46 - $52.94 (depending on experience) plus on‑call allowance and overtime. What You'll Be Doing Machine servicing, diagnostics, and repairs. Produce machine condition and technical reports. Managing incoming and outgoing rental machines in accordance with Rental SLA. Demonstrate appropriate technical understanding of Komatsu equipment design and function. Ensure quality of work aligns with Komatsu documentation and specifications. Complete workmanship to a professional standard and in a timely manner. Liaise with customers and report on interactions. Ensure timesheets, service reports and relevant documentation are completed accurately and timely. What You'll Bring Trade qualification in Heavy Commercial Vehicle and/or Mobile Plant (essential). Experience in service or repair of mobile plant equipment (essential). Current MR licence (essential). Experience with Komatsu equipment advantageous. Strong communication skills for internal and external customers. Commitment to safety and environment. Ability to work independently and remotely with minimal supervision.
