About the role They are seeking a Senior Advisor, Environment and Planning Approvals to join the team based in the Melbourne CBD Office. Working directly with the Senior Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the organisation’s terminal development program by securing planning approvals and undertaking environmental impact assessments. You will Manage and review planning and environmental approvals, including assessments, studies, and design documentation, to ensure timely project delivery. Provide strategic input on planning approvals and project staging for optimal outcomes in time, budget, and stakeholder engagement. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, offering environmental and planning advice while supporting other project deliverables. Support managers and team members to achieve positive environmental outcomes and foster a culture of innovation and quality. Assist with tender documentation, contractor management, project budgets, and milestone tracking. Work with communications teams to support stakeholder engagement across government, community, and business partners. Promote proactive, innovative environmental practices across projects, addressing social, environmental, economic, and transport planning challenges. About you 5+ years in planning/environment roles Bachelor’s degree in Town/Urban or Environmental Planning (or related discipline). Proven experience successfully obtaining statutory planning approvals for major infrastructure projects is essential. Knowledge of Victorian planning systems and environmental impact assessment processes. Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Knowledge of sustainability requirements and post-approval compliance processes. Self-motivated, adaptable, and results oriented. Ability to guide teams, influence stakeholders, and build trusted relationships. Safety-conscious with strong initiative.
