Building Support Coordinator

This is a coordination role that acts as the critical link between our sales and construction departments. It’s built for someone who understands construction, thinks ahead, and keeps technically detailed projects moving through smart, practical solutions. To succeed here, you need to think critically and proactively — anticipating issues before they arise, adapting as projects evolve, and maintaining momentum across multiple stakeholders and approval stages. If you’ve worked in construction and enjoy being the person who keeps everything aligned behind the scenes, you’ll thrive in this role. About the Role As Building Support at Adelaide Retaining Walls, you’ll act as the operational anchor for our pre‑construction phase. You’ll work closely with design consultants, engineers, and our construction manager to ensure enquiries convert smoothly into approved, build‑ready projects. Using AroFlo, you’ll coordinate leads, documentation, approvals, and communication — bringing clarity and structure to complex workflows. This role suits someone who thrives in fast‑moving environments and takes pride in being the person others rely on to keep projects progressing. What You’ll Be Doing Managing and qualifying incoming sales and construction enquiries Coordinating design consultant bookings and preparing technically accurate client packs Supporting quoting, tracking, and follow‑ups on active projects Managing and tracking council submissions and engineering approvals Interpreting construction drawings and documentation to support project progression Maintaining accurate, audit‑ready project data across systems Stakeholder & Technical Liaison Communicating clearly with clients, engineers, councils, builders, and consultants Coordinating with the drafting team to ensure drawings align with project scope and internal standards Providing internal teams with up‑to‑date project information for planning, reporting, and marketing Problem‑Solving & Momentum Acting as a constant, reliable point of contact to resolve issues quickly and professionally Thinking on your feet to overcome documentation, approval, or design challenges Proactively identifying risks or delays and implementing solutions to keep projects moving Liaising with external stakeholders to achieve practical, win‑win solutions Applying creative, outside‑the‑box thinking to streamline processes and remove bottlenecks This Role Is For You If… You understand construction and enjoy being at the centre of it. You’re organised, decisive, and comfortable managing multiple projects at different stages. You bring a calm, can‑do mindset under pressure and take ownership of problems until they’re solved — not passed on. What We’re Looking For Proven experience in a construction, civil, or trades‑based environment Strong understanding of construction workflows, drawings, and terminology Ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical documentation Strong coordination and administrative skills in fast‑paced environments High attention to detail and accuracy Experience with job management systems (AroFlo highly regarded) Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines Proactive mindset and strong team ethic Experience in sales support, estimating support, or project coordination Familiarity with council and engineering approval pipelines Mindset & Capability High‑level problem‑solving ability with a solution‑focused approach Strong adaptability and confidence managing change Ability to think creatively, make decisions quickly, and keep outcomes moving Why Adelaide Retaining Walls? Diverse, Complex Projects – Technically detailed work that challenges and develops you Serious Projects, Serious Standards – Quality work, done properly High‑Performing Team – Work alongside capable people who take ownership and make things happen Growth Opportunity – Clear pathways into senior coordination, sales, or project roles Meaningful Impact – Your contribution is noticed and valued Strong Culture – Be part of a team that values reliability, accountability, and constantly finding better ways to get things done This is a business for people who want responsibility, challenge, and the opportunity to grow — not just a job. Apply Now If you have a construction background and want a coordination role where your knowledge genuinely matters, we want to hear from you. Submit your resume and a short cover letter outlining your experience and why you’d be a strong fit for Adelaide Retaining Walls. #J-18808-Ljbffr
