The Opportunity Come and discover the opportunity to join our Maintenance team at our Western Port Manufacturing facility as an Electrical Maintenance Planner . As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products Portfolio, we have five major manufacturing sites at Western Port which operate 24 x 7 and deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to export and domestic customers. In this key role, you will utilise your comprehensive electrical knowledge to coordinate and plan maintenance activities and improvement initiatives for our manufacturing operations including inspections and monitoring methods, detailed planning of work and participating in work scheduling and execution. What’s in it for you Permanent full‑time position working Monday to Friday dayshift Competitive salary package, overtime eligible, option for 14% superannuation, participation in our company incentive program and annual salary review Ongoing training, development and learning providing career pathways Access to wellbeing initiatives including an Employee Assistance Program Access to discounted gym fees through the ‘Fitness Passport’ Canteen on‑site – food made fresh daily Free on‑site parking Uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE) provided – no need to purchase workwear Vibrant and inclusive workplace culture hosting regular celebrations and BBQs Exciting discounts across travel, vehicles, health and more What you will do Responsibilities Schedule maintenance work and perform detailed planning of work Develop, implement and manage detailed shutdown maintenance plans and schedules Coordinate resources, labour, and materials for shutdown maintenance projects Liaise with contractors and suppliers to attain cost‑effective methods of execution and delivery of planned work Coordinate task dependencies and ensure seamless integration of maintenance activities with other shutdown operations Capture and review maintenance history to drive maintenance strategy improvement Analyse prior maintenance work orders to ensure follow‑up work is captured and actioned Support alignment of Safety, Quality and Plant Critical priorities with key stakeholders Provide supervision to internal and external resources Manage and control maintenance spares utilisation, refurbishment and/or replenishment Perform administrative activities such as raising purchase orders, invoice management and cost review More About You A recognised electrical trade qualification is preferred; electrical engineering qualifications with practical experience will also be considered Demonstrated experience in planning and scheduling inspections and maintenance of site equipment Solid experience of SAP including MS Office suite Experience in root‑cause analysis through investigation processes and tools to recommend informed corrective measures Highly developed communication and influencing skills – building constructive and effective relationships Commitment to the safety and wellbeing of yourself and others Why BlueScope Learn and develop as you grow.
