This is for a Casual appointment for up to six (6) months with the possibility of extension(s). What is our Carer Consultant role? The Carer Consultant contributes a carer’s perspective to the planning, development, delivery and evaluation of mental health programs for the NMHS Mental Health Service. In this role, you will use your own lived experience as a carer to: represent the carer perspective in committees and meetings work with stakeholders and service providers to improve clinical service delivery facilitate carer feedback and participation in service improvement initiatives co-facilitate the lived experience advisory group identify and engage relevant carer networks What we are looking for You must have a lived experience as a primary carer of a consumer of mental health services. You will bring a genuine interest in improving the carer and consumer experience and have great communication skills to allow you to work effectively with a diverse range of mental health stakeholders.
