Overview Western Australian Cricket Association – East Perth WA A new café is opening its doors in early 2026 as part of the exciting transformation of the iconic WACA Ground into a vibrant, multi-sport and community precinct and we’re looking for a passionate Café Service Lead to help shape the customer experience from day one. How You’ll Make an Impact In this full‑time role, you’ll be the go‑to person on the café floor, supporting the Café Manager and leading the front‑of‑house team to deliver exceptional service. Support the Café Manager in the overall running of the café, ensuring smooth daily operations Maintain a strong customer service presence on the café floor, upholding service and quality standards Supervise, motivate, and mentor café team members to ensure high performance and team morale Assist with rostering, shift management, and staff training Oversee stock control and assist with ordering and supplier liaison Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards Handle customer complaints and service issues with professionalism and care Contribute to achieving sales targets and controlling labour and operational costs Lead the delivery of internal and external events, coordinating staff and ensuring seamless execution Act in the Manager role in the absence of the Café Manager, taking responsibility for the full operation Provide leadership to casual staff A great fit for this role looks like Previous experience in a café or hospitality leadership role Strong people skills with a passion for service excellence Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure Sound knowledge of food safety and compliance standards Experience with POS systems Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays Here’s what you can look forward to Our people benefits include Membership passes to all cricket games at the WACA Ground and at Optus Stadium, onsite gym access, Birthday Leave, salary packaging, employee recognition program, discounts on cricket merchandise, corporate health insurance discount, corporate partner discounts, flexible work arrangements, professional development opportunities and more Want to join our team?
