Cafe Manager We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and versatile Cafe Manager to oversee our unique operation, which transitions from a bustling daytime café to a popular nighttime kebab shop on James St in Northbridge. This is a full‑time position primarily focused on daytime operations but requires flexibility for occasional night shifts as needed. Key Responsibilities Operational management: Efficiently handling opening procedures for the premises. Customer service: Providing exceptional service, handling inquiries, and ensuring a positive experience. Food preparation: Hands‑on involvement in preparing café items and kebabs, including utilizing strong knife skills for various ingredients. Barista experience: A minimum of 2+ years of barista experience is required for coffee and beverage preparation. Staff management: Training, supervising, and motivating staff to maintain high standards of service and productivity. Stock & ordering: Managing inventory, placing orders with suppliers, and conducting essential errands/shopping for the shop (transporting goods to and from the city/suppliers is required). Compliance: Ensuring strict adherence to all food safety and hygiene standards. What You Will Need to Succeed Experience: A minimum of 2 years of managerial experience in a similar food service/hospitality role (café, restaurant, fast‑casual dining). Certifications (mandatory): A current Food Handler Certificate. Certifications (highly regarded): A current Food Safety Supervisor (FSS) certificate. Essential logistics: Must possess a valid Driver's Licence and reliable personal transport, as the role requires travel for shopping and accessing the city/suppliers. Skills: Proven ability in staff management, ordering, cash handling, and proficient knife skills. Availability: Must be available for day shifts and flexible to cover occasional night shifts.
