About the role The Chief People Officer Division provides enabling services and the Integrity, Security and Property Branch supports business integrity, investigation, security and property management. The Fraud Control and Analytics Section manages fraud and corruption risks to protect DVA payments, systems, processes and staff, and supports our future strategic initiatives. Responsibilities Develop Teradata SQL programs to interrogate and combine datasets to analyse fraud risks. Plan, document and develop fraud detection programs in Teradata SQL and produce case selections for intelligence assessments. Undertake testing and validation of data products and curated datasets. Design and implement technical solutions for Intelligence teams. Develop procedures, technical specifications and supporting documentation. Work with non‑technical stakeholders to determine and document requirements, and explain complex technical concepts to broad audiences. Build and sustain effective working relationships with stakeholders and represent the department in external forums. Maintain an awareness of DVA’s fraud risk environment. Eligibility Under section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999, employees must be Australian citizens to be employed in the Australian Public Service (APS). All applicants external to DVA offered employment will be required to successfully undergo a pre‑engagement screening check, even if they have a security clearance. The screening check is conducted in accordance with the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework requirements. The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance. Mandatory Requirements Experience developing programs in Teradata SQL. Experience working in a fraud, risk, non‑compliance, or integrity environment. Additional information This recruitment process is being used to fill ongoing and/or non‑ongoing positions. For more information about the role, please see the Candidate Information Pack. Where a non‑ongoing position is offered, the role will be filled for an initial specified term of up to 23 months. A merit pool of suitable applicants may be created which may be used to fill future ongoing and non‑ongoing vacancies within the next 18 months. Successful applicants engaged into the APS will be subject to a probation period.
