Lead Housekeeper – Wynberg House (New Farm, Brisbane) Employment Type : Permanent Part-Time (Tuesday to Friday, 8 : 00 am–3 : 00 pm, 26 hrs / week, flexible start) The Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane positively impacts hundreds of thousands of Queenslanders every week through its 98 parishes, 146 schools, and over 190 service centres, including childcare, aged care, and domestic violence assistance. Our Technology Solutions team plays a critical role in supporting these services, ensuring high-quality IT operations across the Archdiocese. About Wynberg House Wynberg House, located in New Farm, is a residence and hospitality venue for senior Church leaders and distinguished guests of the Archdiocese of Brisbane. It is renowned as a house of hospitality, regularly hosting formal and informal gatherings, events, and community engagement activities that strengthen relationships within the Church and the broader community. About the role We are seeking a Lead Housekeeper to work alongside and guide a small team to keep Wynberg House immaculate and guest‑ready. This hands‑on role rewards an eye for detail and the ability to "see what needs doing." You will also lend a hand to set up for events and collaborate closely with the Chef and House Manager. What you’ll do Lead and work with a small team to deliver daily housekeeping across living and communal areas Perform and coordinate cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and refresh of rooms and common spaces Manage laundry (wash, iron, occasional dry‑clean coordination) Prepare spaces for functions; support Chef / House Manager for special events Uphold safe work practices and tidy, well‑organised storage / amenities Let your housekeeping experience and initiative shine; see what needs doing About you Experienced – solid housekeeping / household or hospitality background Hands‑on leader – comfortable rolling up sleeves while guiding others Self‑starter – proactive, notices priorities, follows through without prompting Organised & calm – balances routines with event needs and changing priorities Professional & discreet – respectful of residents and guests Skills & nice‑to‑haves Know‑how with cleaning agents / equipment and safe handling Efficient ironing and fabric‑care skills Current driver’s licence (preferred) Why Join Us?
