Company: South West NRM (Natural Resource Management) Location: Bunbury and/or Katanning (or hybrid) Type: Full time or Part-time (Full Time equivalent), 3-year fixed term contract Salary: $80,000 to $90,000 based on experience and qualifications Annual salary CPI-increase Flexible work from home and office options Plus 12% superannuation About the Position South West NRM is searching for a passionate Sustainable Agriculture Facilitator (SAF) to help empower farmers and landholders with adopting climate-smart, sustainable practices across one of Australia’s most biodiverse regions. Join a respected, high-performing not-for-profit team driving adoption of sustainable agriculture practices, innovation and community engagement. Your days will be filled with purpose—supporting farmers, collaborating with industry, exploring emerging carbon and biodiversity markets, running events, engaging with First Nations organisations and helping deliver on-ground projects that drive meaningful change. You will be: Engaging and informing farmers, community groups, and agriculture industries about climate-smart, sustainable agriculture practices. Connecting farmers, community groups and agriculture industries with trusted advisors to achieve climate-smart, sustainable agriculture outcomes. Develop understanding and share information on new and emerging carbon and biodiversity markets. Supporting the delivery of projects including assisting with events, communication activities, and engaging with First Nations peoples and organisations. Travelling regularly to attend events and farm site visits. Reviewing and updating a comprehensive Work Plan considering key threats, activities to address threats, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and communications. Complete quarterly reporting and manage deliverables. Contribute to the operation of South West NRM and actively promote the organisation's achievements. What you will bring to the team Extensive knowledge of sustainable agriculture practices, supported by a degree, diploma or demonstrated experience (2+ years) in agriculture, agricultural science, environmental science or agribusiness. Demonstrated ability to engage with external stakeholders such as farmers, agricultural industry bodies, researchers, government, community groups, Aboriginal organisations, private consultants, and volunteers. Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Advanced written communication skills and experience with preparing material for newsletters, social media and other communication platforms. Ability to work autonomously, manage own time and priorities. Current C Class driver’s license. Ability to travel to rural and remote locations with occasional overnight stays. Australian Residency or eligibility to legally work in Australia.
