Tankweld is an established industrial engineering solutions (design, fabricate, install) provider based in Carrum Downs in Melbourne, with a broad portfolio of established tier‑1 clients, predominantly in the water infrastructure and industrial sectors. Tankweld is a member of the Parkway group, a leading provider of industrial water treatment related products, services and solutions, focused on solving difficult water challenges sustainably. Through Tankweld, Parkway provides turnkey (engineering, procurement & construction, EPC) project delivery capabilities and is increasingly deploying these capabilities across large industrial and complex water infrastructure projects. About the Role Tankweld is currently delivering a diverse portfolio of water treatment and infrastructure related projects for a range of municipal and industrial clients, including a high profile SMP package for major Victorian water infrastructure project. To support our ongoing growth we have created a new Procurement Coordinator role to assist our business development, commercial, workshop fabrication and site installation teams. Key Responsibilities As the Procurement Coordinator , you will: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including business development, commercial, engineering, fabrications workshop and project delivery teams to define procurement requirements, which may involve review of project documentation including scope, standards and specifications. Engage with external suppliers including subcontractors to build strong relationships and securing accurate, competitive pricing across a range of materials and services. Develop accurate cost estimates, including materials, equipment and overheads for the relevant scope of works across a diverse range of projects, across the project lifecycle (from pre‑award through to completion). Review and analyse third‑party proposals, price estimates and tender submissions for accuracy, scope alignment and competitiveness. Plan and schedule transport and logistics related activities for both inbound and outbound deliveries. About You Demonstrated experience in sourcing and procurement, particularly in a steel fabrication workshop environment, will be highly regarded. Whilst not essential, a mechanical engineering degree (or trade qualification in fabrication and/or construction) and experience working on industrial infrastructure projects, ideally within the water sector, will be useful foundation to succeed in the role. Strong interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for functioning as part of a high-performing team. A competitive salary package (commensurate with experience) will be offered to the successful applicant.
