More at acmi.net.au About the role ACMI is seeking an Assistant Curator to join our Programming team. The Assistant Curator liaises with a range of stakeholders to support the delivery of ACMI's exhibition and touring programme. This includes conducting research to develop content for exhibitions and events, coordination of proposals for evaluation, exhibition delivery, and artist liaison. This is a full‑time fixed‑term role until 30 September 2026 reporting to the Head Curator. What you'll bring to the role A thorough knowledge of moving image history and contemporary practice across areas such as cinema, video games, television, animation, video art and digital culture. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders and achieve successful outcomes, together with highly developed project co‑ordination skills. Experience in exhibition curation, and familiar with a variety of moving image technologies, including content formats and delivery and presentation systems. Excellent research, writing and proofreading skills, with an emphasis on accuracy and a meticulous attention to detail. Highly organised, methodical and with proven ability to collate a disparate range of information and materials into accessible and efficient systems.
