The Opportunity We are looking for a motivated and reliable Building Maintenance Officer to join a local council in Melbourne's western suburbs on a 3-month temporary contract. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone with a proactive mindset who takes pride in delivering high-quality maintenance services and contributing to a well-kept built environment. Key Responsibilities Ensure that building maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with relevant specifications, work plans and within allocated budgets. Assist with the allocation and completion of customer requests received through Council’s Customer Request System. Assist in the preparation of contract documentation and specifications for associated maintenance work. Support the Senior Building Maintenance Officer by reporting maintenance requirements and undertaking annual building condition inspections. Respond promptly to internal and external stakeholders, delivering a high level of customer service. Participate in the development of new programs, including Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement initiatives. Prepare and develop Safe Work procedures for various maintenance activities.
