Domestic & Family Violence and Sexual Assault Service Counsellor Join NSW Health as a Domestic & Family Violence and Sexual Assault Service Counsellor to support people impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault. Salary : $40.57 - $69.84 per hour + 12% super & salary packaging. Temporary Part Time 16 hours per week. REQ . Responsibilities Provide assessments, crisis and ongoing counselling to adults who have experienced domestic violence. Provide assessments, crisis and ongoing counselling to children and adults who have experienced sexual assault. Qualifications Degree in social work or psychology and full AHPRA registration. Minimum of three years’ experience working with adults and children/young people with complex trauma. Knowledge and understanding of working with children who have experienced sexual assault and/or with children under 10 with problematic and/or harmful sexualised behaviour. Knowledge and understanding of the impacts of trauma on the brain and body. Understanding of the impact of colonisation, patriarchy and other social political systems that have impacted Indigenous Australian experience of violence and abuse. Ability to provide clinical and cultural supervision, professional development and education. Requirements Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role. Working With Children Check (WWCC). Current AHPRA Registration or Social Work degree and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Valid NSW Drivers Licence.
