Occupational Therapist – Paediatrics (Tasmania) EverAbility Group has a long history of providing services for people with disability across Western Australia and Tasmania. Our team of nearly 200 staff and over 500 volunteers work across a diverse range of services. Our Services VisAbility – specialized service supporting people with blindness or vision impairment. Guide Dogs WA and Guide Dogs Tasmania – iconic service raising and training life‑changing assistance dogs. Kites Children’s Therapy – early intervention support, advice and solutions for children and families living with disability or developmental challenges. Position Overview We are looking for a full‑time Paediatric Occupational Therapist in Derwent Park, Hobart. In this role you will conduct comprehensive assessments, deliver targeted interventions, and evaluate outcomes, managing a diverse caseload and prescribing assistive technology to enhance client positioning and function. Person‑centred care is at the heart of this position, suitable for experienced professionals and newly graduated OTs. Key Responsibilities Conduct occupational therapy assessments, interventions, and evaluations for paediatric clients. Provide individual and group‑based services. Manage a client caseload in alignment with service provision guidelines and external agency requirements. Prescribe assistive technology to enhance client positioning and function. Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, including the Dog Assisted Therapy program. Maintain accurate and timely records, assessments, case plans, and documentation within the Client Management System. Deliver an integrated and holistic approach to client care. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent. Strong interpersonal skills with confidence to make autonomous decisions. Demonstrated ability to implement person‑ and family‑centred interventions. Excellent administrative and organisational skills. Personal commitment to the organisation’s philosophy, objectives, and mission. Valid driver’s licence. Current National Police Clearance and Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Check (NDIS‑endorsed) – or willingness to obtain. Understanding of the Disability and Early Childhood sectors. Experience providing occupational therapy services to a paediatric disability caseload. Proven ability to manage a client caseload, consistently achieving service delivery targets and deadlines. Understanding of funding models, specifically the NDIS. Salary & Benefits Salary range: $85,000 – $102,000 depending on experience. Up to 3 days of additional paid leave during the Christmas and New Year holidays. Salary packaging options to increase take‑home pay. Ongoing professional development and training.
