Senior Business Analyst Join to apply for the Senior Business Analyst role at Bendigo Advertiser . Permanent full‑time opportunity. Parramatta preferred, Orange and Newcastle location considered with flexible working supported. Salary relative to experience, ranges from $129,464 to $142,665 + super. Join Our Digital Projects & Transformation team that leads the design and delivery of user‑focused enhancements to the NSW Planning Portal to enable efficient, connected, and data‑driven operations. As a Senior Business Analyst , you will play a key role in delivering these digital solutions by analysing business needs, identifying improvement opportunities, and translating them into actionable requirements. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across the department to ensure our digital products are effective, user‑centred, and aligned with DPHI’s strategic priorities. What you’ll do Partner with business stakeholders to understand their needs, gather requirements, and develop Statements of Work that reflect desired outcomes and benefits. Facilitate user and business workshops to develop functional requirements, specifications, and business cases that support digital initiatives and platforms. Analyse and document business processes and workflows, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation. Collaborate with technical teams to ensure requirements are clearly communicated, prioritised, and delivered as intended. Contribute to the development of feasibility assessments, business cases, and recommendations that inform digital planning and prioritisation. Provide expert advice and analysis to support informed decision‑making and continuous improvement in digital delivery. What you will bring to the role Demonstrated experience in business analysis, including requirements gathering, process modelling, and solution design in a digital or technology‑focused environment. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver quality outcomes in a fast‑paced setting. Advanced facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences. Knowledge of business analysis frameworks, tools, and methodologies, and familiarity with project collaboration tools such as JIRA or Confluence. Commitment to ethical behaviour, accountability, and continuous improvement aligned with public sector values.
