Vanilla Lounge is seeking an experienced Pastry Chef to join our team in Oakleigh, VIC. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating exquisite desserts and baked goods that delight our customers. This full-time role is a unique opportunity to showcase your culinary talents and contribute to the growth of our popular café and patisserie. What you'll be doing Preparing creative dessert and baked goods recipes Preparing high-quality ingredients and producing all baked goods in-house Ensuring the efficient and hygienic operation of the pastry kitchen Collaborating with the head chef to align dessert offerings with the overall menu Upholding the highest food safety and quality standards What we're looking for Minimum 5 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a fast-paced, high-quality café, restaurant or patisserie environment Formal training in pastry arts or a culinary degree Expertise in producing a wide variety of desserts, cakes, pastries and baked goods (experience in Greek cuisine an advantage) Strong attention to detail and presentation skills Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively in a team Excellent time management and multi-tasking abilities Passion for using high-quality, locally-sourced ingredients Decorating and glazing pastries & cakes What we offer At Vanilla Lounge, we are committed to creating a positive and supportive work environment for our team.
