About the position: Are you ready to shape a safer, smarter future? Stramit is seeking a dynamic EHS Business Partner to champion our Environment, Health & Safety vision across the business. This is your opportunity to drive cultural transformation, influence senior leadership, and embed proactive safety practices that make a real difference. This is a full-time permanent role located in our Crestmead (QLD) site, with requirements to be on site 5 days a week to best support our Metropolitan Manufacturing site and Regional Branches. Key Responsibilities Partner with EHS and Operations teams across Northern Region (QLD) to embed EHS systems across the business. Coach senior leaders to implement the EHS Strategic / Annual plan and foster a proactive safety culture. Lead and support complex incident investigations, ensuring thorough analysis and corrective actions. Facilitate risk assessments and safety audits, driving continuous improvement initiatives. Monitor EHS performance metrics, analyze trends, and report findings to internal and external stakeholders. Ensure compliance with legislative standards through policy development and system oversight. Track and deliver EHS initiatives, ensuring timely completion and alignment with Heavy Building Materials goals. Coordinate training programs and maintain accurate records in line with the training matrix. Build strong relationships with regional managers and frontline teams to ensure consistent EHS support. Represent Stramit in industry forums and government consultations, advocating for safety excellence. Qualifications Diploma/Advanced Diploma in EHS or related field. 3–5 years’ experience in EHS advisory or consulting roles. Strong knowledge of EHS legislation and claims management. Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Proven ability to influence, mentor, and lead across all levels of the business. Collaborative and supportive team player who can work independently. Proven experience in supporting the implementation of local EHS programmes. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Full working rights in Australia without restrictions. Ability to travel intra state to support Northern Region sites as required (estimated 10%).
