Civil Construction Worker Operator Permanent Full Time Band 4 - starting at $36.81 p / h to $39.61 p / h super fortnightly RDO Supportive and Friendly team environment where we value growth and development Award winning organisation-wide Health and Wellbeing initiatives Work in a dynamic and collaborative environment About the Role Yarra City Councils Infrastructure Traffic and Civil Engineering Branch is offering an exciting opportunity for two dedicated Civil Construction Worker Operators to join our team. You will contribute to the delivery of high-quality efficient and value-driven services that support the maintenance and improvement of our communitys roads and infrastructure. This hands‑on role involves a variety of civil construction and maintenance activities with a strong focus on safety quality and teamwork. Your work will directly enhance the appearance and structural integrity of Councils streetscapes and assets. Key Responsibilities Road maintenance and reinstatement Drainage repairs Concreting and bluestone paving Asphalting Signage and street furniture maintenance Operation of plant and equipment Preferred Skills and Experience Excavator and skid steer operations including use of profiler attachments Civil construction especially asphalt placement and concreting Laying and restoring bluestone paving Holding a Heavy Rigid (HR) licence (preferred) Traffic management: controlling traffic with stop / slow bat and implementing traffic management plans What We’re Looking For A reliable and proactive team player Commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of work Willingness to learn and grow within a supportive team Ability to work flexibly across a range of civil construction tasks Yarra City Council is a dynamic and progressive organisation that values diversity and invests in the ongoing development of its staff.
