Knights Commercial Laundry – Toowoomba QLD Knights Laundry is a privately owned commercial laundry in Toowoomba servicing accommodation and hospitality industries across south‑east Queensland. Knights is a growing business equipped with plant and machinery processing up to 200 tonnes of product a week. The Role Knights is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to further improve and maintain equipment on a full‑time basis. This role will be to ensure critical maintenance is carried out over various types of plant and equipment to minimise machine downtime to meet daily production requirements. Ongoing mechanical functionality review to ensure safety, consistency and quality standards are met. Key Responsibilities Carry out routine, preventative and reactive maintenance duties. Investigate equipment breakdowns, identify root causes, recommend and complete repairs. Escalate major breakdowns or risks to the Plant Manager and coordinate repairs with internal and external stakeholders. Support maintenance projects and assist in spare parts inventory management. Conduct routine inspections, report issues, and recommend or conduct improvements. Complete all work in accordance with Knights Laundry policies, WHS requirements, and industry best practice. Maintain and foster clean working environments for production and product that supports the hospitality industry. Lead a positive, safe, and collaborative team culture. What You Require Recognised trade or tertiary qualification in a mechanical or electrical field. Experience in a manufacturing or processing environment , ideally within a commercial laundry or similar continuous processing industrial operation. Strong problem‑solving and prioritisation skills with a focus on safety and operational efficiency. Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a customer‑focused approach. Current Class C driver's licence . Ability to work rotating shifts, including mornings, afternoons, weekends, and public holidays if required due to operational needs or seasonal highs and lows of trading. Ability to pass a pre‑employment medical and National Police Check . Tickets or licences in any of the following: Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platform, Confined Space, Unattended Boiler, or Forklift operation. (Training may be provided for the right candidate.) This is a physically active and hands‑on role involving climbing, bending, reaching, and lifting (up to 10 kg). Work may occasionally take place at heights, in confined spaces, in noisy or hot environments. Uniforms and PPE are provided and required at all times. #J-18808-Ljbffr
