Coffs Harbour Community Preschool is a community-based preschool providing quality education and care to 3-5 year old children since 1953. We are proud of our long commitment to supporting a diverse community of children and their families. We are a 39 place preschool open 8.00-4.00 operating during school terms. We are seeking an experienced early childhood teacher to join our supportive, enthusiastic, dedicated and experienced team in 2026, beginning 27th January. This is a 12 month part time position four days a week, 3 days on the floor and 1 day planning, 31 hours per week (possible extension to permanent in 2027). Collaboration and teamwork to lead and deliver a high-quality education program for children 3-5 years. Advocating for the rights of children to support inclusive practices and their voice. Compliance with regulatory requirements and following policies and procedures, including having a good understanding of child protection guidelines and child safe standards. Communication skills that support building relationships with children, families, and team members. An ability to research, analyse and to support and mentor others towards continuous improvement in the provision of a high-quality learning program. Demonstrated understanding and strong commitment to the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Framework. The ability to relate to people from a range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Ability to work with children with diverse dispositions. A commitment to ongoing Professional Development in early childhood.
