Residential Building Inspector As the Residential Building Inspector, you will ensure all residential construction work complies with relevant building legislation, codes and approved documentation. You will work closely with certifiers, builders and clients to support safe, compliant and high‑quality outcomes. Key Responsibilities Conduct residential building inspections Sydney-wide Prepare clear, accurate and timely inspection reports Assess compliance with the NCC/BCA, DA/CDC conditions and relevant Australian Standards Identify non‑compliant works and provide guidance for rectification Liaise with residential builders, contractors and certifiers Attend site meetings and provide technical advice when required Maintain detailed, accurate records in line with regulatory requirements About You A4 Registered Building Inspector Strong knowledge of the NCC/BCA for residential classifications Excellent communication and report‑writing skills Ability to work independently and manage a busy inspection schedule Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel across Sydney Accreditation or working towards accreditation (highly regarded) Benefits Purely residential-focused inspections Variety of work across Sydney’s suburbs Supportive certification team and ongoing professional development Competitive salary package + vehicle allowance Consistent workload with long‑term job security Company Profile Our client is a long‑standing building certification and compliance consultancy delivering accurate, reliable and timely inspection services across Sydney.
