Primary objective Provide centralised procurement advisory and support services to client agencies in accordance with Agency Procurement Services’ Service Statement, the Northern Territory Government (NTG) Procurement Framework and Buy Local Policy. Services include advice and support to agencies in the preparation of tender and contract documentation, procurement assessments, contract award and contract management advice. Key duties and responsibilities Under the guidance of senior procurement officers provide customer‑focused procurement advice and support services in accordance with the NTG Procurement Framework. Prepare procurement quotation documentation incorporating technical specifications provided by agencies, respond to inquiries and support assessment processes. Provide accurate contract administration services to meet internal and external requirements. Regularly monitor work to ensure the quantity, quality and timeliness of outputs. Ensure that all outputs are compliant with the requirements of policy and legislation. Selection criteria Essential Knowledge and understanding of procurement systems and frameworks, procurement and contract administration processes, or demonstrated transferable skill sets to an equivalent standard with the ability to quickly acquire the knowledge. Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders and people of diverse cultural backgrounds. Established written skills with an attention to detail and ability to prepare correspondence in clear language with well‑presented, factual arguments and recommendations. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in providing quality customer services. Sound level of computer literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel, and ability to use procurement and information management systems. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, to achieve timely outcomes while working under pressure in a busy work environment, while maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates DCDD values of being professional, accountable, honest, respectful and innovative. Desirable Experience in undertaking and/or providing procurement support. Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting or relevant business qualification.
