Overview We are looking for a culture connector — someone who drives revenue, relationships and results that shape what Queensland’s culture seekers eat, book, buy and experience next. Be the strategic force behind Urban List’s commercial presence in the Sunshine State. As our Queensland Sales Manager, you’ll turn brand goals into stories people actually care about — blending commercial clarity with creativity, empathy with execution, and hustle with genuine heart. You’ll lead your own client patch, uncover opportunities that matter, and build partnerships that last. You think strategically, sell creatively and deliver consistently — always with pace, clarity and care. Responsibilities Own and manage a client patch, building trusted, long‑term relationships with key clients and agency partners. Deliver agreed revenue targets across direct and agency channels with discipline and consistency. Manage inbound enquiries with speed, clarity and commercial confidence. Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities that align to market trends and client needs. Build compelling sales materials, pitches and proposals that encourage bookings and strengthen our position in market. Confidently present proposals, strategic initiatives, performance insights and market research — both in person and virtually. Develop and deliver a strategic sales plan that achieves an optimal balance between revenue growth and sales costs. Maintain a consistent and on‑brand message in market, aligning to business pricing parameters and approved product offerings. Strengthen and protect Urban List’s reputation in market, actively championing our brand, values and commercial capability. Work closely with internal teams to ensure sales opportunities are aligned with business objectives and editorial direction. Collaborate with branded content, production and design teams to ensure all campaigns are delivered on time, on budget and to benchmarked expectations. Manage campaign implementation from brief through to launch, adhering to Urban List processes, systems and best practices. Provide accurate forecasting and pipeline management, maintaining visibility of revenue, opportunity velocity and risk. Communicate consistently upward and laterally — ensuring timely updates on performance, priorities, challenges and opportunities. Share market insights, competitor movements and emerging trends that inform commercial strategy and product evolution. Show initiative and autonomy, working confidently within a small local team while partnering remotely with interstate colleagues. Qualifications 3–5+ years’ experience in media sales or a closely related advertising/marketing role, with a proven track record of delivering revenue results. Strong history of meeting and exceeding revenue targets, managing a healthy pipeline and driving repeat business. Confident presenter with the ability to communicate strategy, insights and recommendations compellingly. Solutions‑oriented with strong commercial judgement — balancing creativity with clarity and practicality. Skilled in relationship management, stakeholder engagement and consultative selling. Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines and client expectations simultaneously. Collaborative mindset — able to partner effectively with content, production, design and operations teams. Tech‑confident and comfortable navigating sales tools, AI resources, CRM systems and internal project platforms.
