Part-time | Term-time (38 weeks per year): Scotch College is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Weekend/Afternoon Chef to join our Catering team. Working under the direction of the Food Services Manager, this role supports the delivery of a high-quality, healthy catering service for our students and staff. The position offers the opportunity to prepare meals for up to 108 boarders and boarding staff, while working in a supportive, team-oriented environment. What you’ll be doing Preparing and serving nutritious, high-quality meals for students and staff. Leading and supporting kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations. Maintaining a safe, clean, and hygienic kitchen environment. Managing stock, ordering supplies, and assisting with inventory. Contributing to a positive, professional, and welcoming team culture. What we’re looking for Formal qualifications in Commercial Cookery. Passion for producing high-quality food with attention to nutrition and dietary requirements. Knowledge of food safety regulations and safe work practices. Organisational skills, initiative, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A current Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain). A friendly, positive approach – and a good sense of humour Why join us?
