About the Role Newington College is seeking to appoint a Head of PDHPE for 2026. In this role, the successful candidate will lead and inspire our dynamic team, fostering an engaging and inclusive environment that empowers students to excel in all aspects of physical development, health, and physical education. The ideal candidate will drive pedagogical innovation and promote a culture of excellence, ensuring every student enjoys a comprehensive and impactful PDHPE experience. The department delivers mandatory PDHPE programs in Years 7–10, PASS in Stage 5, Health and Movement Science (HSC) and Sports Exercise Health Science (IB DP). The PDHPE programs are supported by the College’s specialist facilities including two multi‑use gymnasium spaces, tennis courts, a strength and conditioning centre, outdoor ovals and a 25‑metre indoor pool. The department is well resourced to provide practical PDHPE experiences in the curriculum.
