We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Design Consultant to join our team in Aldinga Beach. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced carport, verandah, or shed builder — or someone with construction knowledge — who is ready to step off the tools and apply their practical skills in a rewarding, client-focused role. About the Role As a Design Consultant, you will be responsible for managing the full sales and design process from initial enquiry through to contract signing. Your role will involve: Identifying and contacting new sales prospects, and following up on leads and referrals Attending scheduled client consultations and presenting suitable product and design solutions Measuring sites accurately and preparing detailed quotes, plans, and design concepts Managing client relationships throughout the entire process, resolving concerns professionally and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction Adhering to the Aldinga Home Improvements sales process and meeting set budgets and sales targets Preparing proposals, presentations, sales contracts, and all required paperwork to progress jobs Drafting designs and completing computer-based plans for quotes and council applications Maintaining strong product knowledge and up-to-date sales materials Communicating field insights, product opportunities, and customer feedback to the team Coordinating with internal staff to ensure smooth project progression and sales closure About You To be successful in this role, it will be helpful if you have: Previous experience in the home improvement industry Strong understanding of construction techniques in one or some of the relevant fields The ability to visualise designs, communicate concepts clearly, and create custom solutions Confidence in scoping, pricing, and estimating full projects using external and in-house software Excellent communication skills — both written and verbal High attention to detail and a commitment to quality The ability to connect with a wide range of clients Self-motivation, strong work ethic, and a results-driven mindset Competency with Microsoft Office Basic CAD knowledge (advantageous) A current driver’s licence and professional presentation What We Provide We want you to succeed, and you’ll be supported with: A company vehicle Laptop and Microsoft Surface Pro A positive, energetic, and fast-paced work environment The opportunity to create meaningful projects that genuinely improve clients’ homes and lifestyles Your role is simple: guide clients, design their ideal solution, and help turn their ideas into reality.
