Job Description - Lead, Corporate Communications (0000B41A) Lead, Corporate Communications - 0000B41A Ongoing full-time opportunity Play a key role in building engagement, trust and transparency through clear, engaging and compliant internal and external communications Turn complex data and policy into stories that engage, inform and inspire confidence About the role The Lead, Corporate Communications is responsible for the timely production of all statutory reports relating to the business of the NSW Electoral Commission, including annual reporting and post‑election reporting. This includes working directly with key internal and external stakeholders to gather information, collate, write and edit reports and guide the associated approvals processes. This role is responsible for internal communications and commissioning post‑election customer and stakeholder research, which is used to measure our performance and set benchmarks for our continuous improvement as an organisation. The role is an ongoing full‑time position. Running and regulating elections Communicating and engaging with current and future voters, key NSW community stakeholders and NSW election participants; and Investigating possible offences and enforcing electoral and lobbying laws such as the Electoral Act 2017 and the Electoral Funding Act 2018. Key knowledge, experience and essential requirements Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent professional experience in report writing, internal and strategic communications. Extensive track record working within Corporate Communications with demonstrable capability dealing with multiple internal and external stakeholders. Equivalent professional experience in report writing requiring a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy. Experience working within a highly regulated environment with dynamic and ongoing legislative changes. Demonstrated experience in communicating complex legal or similar content in a clear, understandable and succinct manner (using infographics where appropriate) suitable for a range of audiences. Significant experience in the management, coordination and preparation of briefings, reports and other information requests dealing with complex and sensitive matters. Familiarity with the IAP2 spectrum of public participation for community engagement. Experience building and maintaining positive and productive relationships.
