About the Role: Northern Health is seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Project Manager to join the Outpatient Services team. This is a Full Time - Fixed Term role (12 Months Contract). Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north. Services are provided through our five main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Community Hospital, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg. This role requires a dynamic and experienced health professional to lead strategic improvement initiatives across Outpatient Services. You will work closely with the Director of Operations to improve systems and processes that enhance patient access, reduce inefficiencies, and build improvement capability across the organisation. Responsibilities: Leading multidisciplinary project teams Driving innovation and continuous improvement Aligning projects with Northern Health’s strategic priorities Ensuring patient‑centred care is embedded in all improvement activities Qualifications and Experience: Extensive experience in an acute/community health care setting Expert knowledge of the health care sector Strong project management and leadership skills Highly developed written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to manage under pressure and solve complex problems Experience in data analysis and reporting Ability to coach and support implementation of improvement initiatives Tertiary qualification in healthcare, scientific research, project management or related discipline Current Victorian Driver’s Licence and relevant police/working with children checks Project management experience in a healthcare setting Experience with patient data systems and consumer engagement Familiarity with redesign methodologies Next Steps: If this opportunity sounds like the next step in your career, we would love to hear from you.
