Fresh X Pty Ltd is a leading fresh produce providore supplying premium products to restaurants across Melbourne. The company is headquartered in Epping, Victoria. We supply premium produce to restaurants and food service partners across Melbourne and are currently building our own online ordering platform to connect clients directly with our distribution network. To support this digital expansion, we are seeking a qualified Software Engineer to develop and maintain our end-to-end ordering and inventory management system. Role The Software Engineer will design, develop and deploy software applications to streamline our ordering, inventory and delivery operations. You will be responsible for building a secure, cloud-based platform that integrates customer ordering, warehouse stock control and logistics tracking. Key Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain web and mobile applications for online ordering and inventory management. Analyse business requirements and translate them into functional system designs. Integrate internal and third‑party APIs for order processing, payment and delivery scheduling. Write, test and maintain high‑quality program code and technical documentation. Implement data security measures and ensure compliance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988. Provide ongoing system support, bug fixes and performance optimisation. Collaborate with management to plan future upgrades and feature enhancements. Skills & Qualifications Required Tertiary in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field. Minimum five years’ experience in software design and development. Strong understanding of database systems and cloud computing (AWS or Azure). Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
