The Role The vision for South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is ‘exceptional care, healthier lives’. Plan, coordinate, and implement in-depth levels of clinical expertise and extensive specialised knowledge within Physiotherapy in order to provide high quality Physiotherapy care to patients/clients of the unit/team/facility consistent with NSW Health, South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) policies, procedures and standards. This role includes responsibilities for supervision, quality improvement initiatives, education delivery to other health care professionals and the teaching of students on clinical placement. Aged Care experience is desirable. Where you'll be working Covering the South East Sydney (Randwick – Botany LGA) using hospital fleet vehicles. Primarily based at Prince of Wales Hospital and Community Health Service is a Level 6 Tertiary Referral Hospital with an inpatient bed base of 370. Each year we care for more than 70,000 patients in our Emergency Department and have around 50,000 admissions to the inpatient units. POWH offers an outpatient service and rural outreach service and provides more than 900,000 occasions of non‑admitted patient care each year, including innovative virtual models of care. We have transitioned the majority of inpatient units and wards to the Acute Services Building (ASB) including a state of the art Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit. POWH provides an exceptional staff experience and enhanced patient and family outcomes as a result of the provision of person‑centred care. Selection Criteria Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award and the Physiotherapy Board of Australia (AHPRA) and demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learning. Extensive post graduate clinical experience in (insert clinical specialty field). Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels. Demonstrated ability to provide high level clinical advice, education and support to others in providing service excellence. Ability to work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team and to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel, complex or critical nature. Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes. Demonstrated active participation in developing, implementing, and reporting on services. Current NSW Drivers Licence. This role involves driving POW Hospital Fleet vehicles.
