The Equipment team is responsible for fleet acquisitions, fleet management, international maintenance and continuous improvement so that Toll can continue to provide service quality. Workshop Manager – North‑West WA Toll Group is seeking a committed Workshop Manager for our Karratha, Dampier and Port Hedland Workshops . The role involves overseeing workshop performance, vehicle and equipment maintenance, cost recovery, quality and compliance. You will ensure the workshop operates safely, efficiently and meets customer expectations while fostering staff development, maximising profitability and promoting safety and continuous improvement. Strong trade knowledge, communication skills, flexibility and expertise in workshop operations are essential. This leadership role combines customer service excellence and operational efficiency, requiring high standards and a focus on safe and effective site management. Duties and Responsibilities / a day in the life of the Workshop Manager – Manage daily activities of Toll employees and ensure that all work and is performed safely and that an ongoing commitment to safety is maintained including proactive actions to identify and reduce workplace hazards. Maintain staff job results by coaching, counselling and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring and appraising job results. Demonstrate exemplary safety leadership behaviours and monitor and promote HSES & QA programs to achieve a safe and incident‑free culture. Control workflow for minimum vehicle downtime and maximum workshop output. Anticipate customer needs and identify opportunities to significantly enhance the breadth and quality of the service experience. Ensure established work systems are in place and people can work effectively as individuals and as a team to achieve the standards and results in line with best practice. Manage the carrying out of vehicle repair / job sign off on completion of a job and all administration functions thus to ensure the effective and efficient running of the workshop. To be successful in this role you will have : Proven experience in a workshop management role within retail, transport or related industry. Demonstrated ability working within a fast‑paced team environment. Good written and verbal communication skills. Hold a flexible approach to business commitments. Ensure that all work is performed safely and that an ongoing commitment to safety is maintained including proactive actions to identify and reduce workplace hazards. What moves you?
