Biomedical Engineer – Perioperative Services Part Time Ongoing position 42 hours per fortnight; shifts Thursday to Saturday Work with a diverse and supportive team The Royal Melbourne HospitalRMH) is seeking a Grade 3 Biomedical Engineer to support our Perioperative Services team. This pivotal role ensures the safe operation, maintenance, and procurement of medical equipment across all perioperative areas, including the Main Operating Suite, 3 West Day Procedure Unit and CSSD. Your New Role Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance schedules for perioperative medical equipment. Manage equipment contracts and asset registers. Support procurement processes, equipment trials, and business case development. Act as a key liaison between Clinical Teams, Procurement, Supply, and Engineering. About You Bachelor of Engineering (Biomedical) or equivalent qualification. Experience in biomedical equipment management within a perioperative or acute hospital setting. Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and medical equipment compliance. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Eligible for Engineers Australia membership.
