The Zero Net Emissions Agriculture Cooperative Research Centre (ZNE-Ag CRC) is on a mission to transform Australia’s agriculture sector by achieving zero net emissions by 2040 and going beyond by 2050. The collaborative efforts of ZNE-Ag CRC span industry, government, and academia, driven by a commitment to innovation, sustainability, and growth.

The board is seeking to appoint an independent, non-executive director who has the necessary financial qualifications and experience to effectively chair the finance, audit, security and risk committee.

About you

Candidates should be passionate about ZNE-Ag CRC’s work and must be able to demonstrate skills and experience in the following areas:

Essential

Qualifications in finance and accounting (preferably a CPA or CA) and a strong background working in senior finance and accounting roles

Significant demonstrated experience as Chair of a finance, audit and/or risk committee

Experience as a non-executive director with good governance skills

The ability to

critically assess company financial and operational performance through the application of skills and experience as well as acting as a mentor for key senior finance executives

Personal and leadership attributes which align with the role and as detailed in the position description.

Desirable

experience in working in complex R&D environments

experience and knowledge of the agriculture sector

experience in working in or with CRCs, and

experience and knowledge of security / cybersecurity issues management.
