The Location The Ashley, a 65-bed home situated in Reservoir, just 11km north of the CBD. The Ashley has a real family feel, is only a few minutes’ walk from High Street, and around 10 minutes' walk from Reservoir station. About the Opportunity Working closely with the Lifestyle team the Bus Driver is responsible for providing driving services for, and to ensure safe and comfortable transport of Residents to a range of local areas. Your day will involve driving the bus, helping residents of differing abilities on and off the bus, ensuring proper record keeping and logs for the bus and cleaning the bus as required. We are looking for someone who is a good problem solver, who uses initiative, and demonstrates good presentation and customer service at all times. About You The ideal candidate must demonstrate the following: Be able to pass a pre?employment physical examination and medical history check Australian Work Rights Experience driving a bus is essential Experience in aged care or community work is preferable Safe driving record Immunisation Record - COVID mandatory Availability and reliability to commit to required shifts Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families and all levels of staff Strong passion for working with the elderly The Successful applicants must complete a National Police Check, provide proof of Flu & COVID-19 Vaccination and possibly complete a NDIS Worker Screen.
