Plough Crew Team Leader Ventia is seeking a hands‑on, experienced Plough Crew Team Leader to join the iconic Inter City Fibre Network (ICF) project—bringing ultrafast connectivity to regional and remote Australia. What’s on Offer Company vehicle provided 21 / 7 roster working across remote NSW locations Generous LAHA of $280 / day while working away Double time on weekends + paid fatigue management day Permanent, long‑term employment with career progression Employee benefits including discounts on major brands Health & Wellness programs– Fitness Passport, EAP, Healthy Minds & Bodies About the Role As Team Leader, you’ll manage a crew of approx. 6 in the installation of optic fibre cables using ploughing techniques. You’ll split your time between leading on‑site operations and planning, reporting, and liaising with supervisors. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership, civil experience, and a passion for working in remote environments. Key Responsibilities Oversee civil activities including cable hauling, excavation, and equipment operation Maintain safety standards and lead daily pre‑start / toolbox talks Monitor project delivery, quality, and team performance Communicate with internal and external stakeholders Maintain records, schedules, and progress reports Operate plant and equipment: dozer, excavator, vacuum truck, winches, HR trucks What You’ll Need HR Licence (preferred) & Construction White Card Experience leading plough crews in fibre installation (Optic Fibre Plough preferred) Strong planning, communication & IT skills Ability to work remotely and live in a caravan when required Desirable tickets: Excavator, Dozer, Traffic Management, First Aid, Asbestos Awareness, High Risk Licence About Ventia Ventia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand.
