Multiple Service Technician Positions - Workshop & Field (Automotive) Programmed Skilled Workforce – Campbellfield VIC Our client in Campbellfield is a leading provider of municipal vehicles and equipment, including refuse collection vehicles, sweepers, vacuum machines, bulk waste equipment, and static compactors. Due to continued growth, they are seeking multiple Permanent Full-Time Service Technicians across their Workshop, Field Service, and Contract Maintenance teams. These roles involve diagnostics, repairs, servicing, breakdown support, and equipment upgrades on highly specialised heavy municipal machinery. Available Positions We are recruiting across three service teams: Two shift options: Early Shift: 6:00am–2:30pm (Fri 6:00am–12:00pm) Late Shift: 9:30am–6:00pm (Fri 12:00pm–6:00pm) Technicians may rotate between shifts as required. Field Service Technicians Start in the workshop for the first 6 months to learn products. Transition to field work across VIC & TAS using a tool‑of‑trade vehicle. Attend planned services, reactive breakdowns, and emergency callouts. Roster: 7:30am–4:00pm (Fri 7:30am–2:00pm). Contract Maintenance Service Technician Roster: 12:00pm–8:30pm (Fri 11:30am–6:00pm). What You'll Be Doing Service, maintain, and repair municipal vehicles and specialist equipment. Diagnose complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic faults. Respond to breakdowns for all Field & Contract Maintenance assignments. Perform component rebuilds, hydraulic work, and body‑related repairs. Assist with equipment upgrades, modifications, and installations. Support apprentices and junior team members. Maintain a clean and safe workspace. What We're Looking For You’ll be successful in these roles if you have: Relevant trade qualification (Qualified Light and/or Heavy Vehicle, Plant Mechanic, Mechanical Fitter, Maintenance Fitter). Strong mechanical repair & problem‑solving capability Experience with: Heavy mechanical components Electrical systems (automotive/heavy) Waste trucks, sweepers, bulk waste, vacuum/jetting equipment Own general mechanical tools. Ability to work independently and within a team. Auto‑electrical experience is highly regarded. Welding skills (MIG, TIG, Stick) are advantageous. A truck license is also considered a strong advantage. What They Offer Full‑time stability with long‑term career pathways.
