About the Role We are seeking a graduate or senior law student in their third or fourth year to join our busy Family Law team, based in either Mackay or Brisbane. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands‑on experience in a supportive environment while developing their practical legal skills. You will work closely with our experienced Family Law solicitors, assisting with a wide range of matters and learning the day‑to‑day workings of a dynamic legal practice. We are open to flexible working arrangements to support your study commitments. Key Responsibilities Assist in a variety of family law matters, including property settlements, parenting matters, and divorce proceedings. Prepare draft correspondence, court documents, and briefs under supervision. Conduct legal research and contribute to case preparation and strategy discussions. Attend client meetings and court proceedings with senior solicitors to gain hands‑on experience. Support the team in providing clear, practical, and compassionate advice to clients. Work closely with a Director and collaborate with colleagues across the firm. Help maintain strong client relationships through professional and responsive service. Contribute to the continued growth and success of the Family Law team through initiative, teamwork, and attention to detail. About You Currently studying a Bachelor of Laws (minimum third year) or recently graduated. Genuine interest in Family Law. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks. A proactive, professional, and team‑oriented attitude. Why Join Us?
