Equity Analyst The role of the Equity Analyst is primarily to support the Head Equities in the research, selection and management of the direct equity portfolios, which form an important component of the discretionary mandate business. This will involve identifying strategy opportunities, conducting deep dive company analysis and portfolio construction. You will ensure portfolios are aligned to strategy and contribute to the strong performance of the mandates. You will provide insights with respect to companies listed on the ASX. You will acquire good knowledge of market conditions, drivers and the different asset classes to understand how the Australian equity portfolio interacts with other parts of a multi‑asset class solution. You will also contribute to trade modelling across the multi‑asset portfolios to ensure alignment with the UBS House View with respect to instrument selection and TAA. Your team The Australian Discretionary Portfolio Management team sits within CIO Global Investment Management and manages portfolios on a discretionary basis for private clients, including High and Ultra‑High Net‑Worth Individuals, not for profits and small to medium institutions. Your expertise Experience analyzing companies and recommending portfolio positions Strong quantitative ability Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders across a large number of different teams, as well as work independently Ability to thrive in a high‑pressure environment and prioritize various tasks High levels of initiative, strong willingness to collaborate and assist the investment team in delivering the highest possible levels of standards for the benefit of client portfolios Excellent written and oral communication skills Good attention to detail and analytical skills University degree in finance, economics, econometrics, maths, or related discipline Genuine interest and curiosity in financial markets and portfolio management, in particular fixed income markets About us UBS is the world's largest and the only truly global wealth manager.
