The Role As the Fleet Quality Controller, you will ensure all fleet and plant leaving the workshop meets compliance, safety, and quality expectations. You’ll work closely with our mechanical team, workshop supervisors, and site operations to verify repairs, inspect classified plant, and ensure accurate data capture in our Fleet Management Program (Gearbox). Location: Kenwick WA Hours: 9.5-hour days Key Responsibilities Conduct post-repair and post-service quality inspections of fleet and plant equipment Ensure all repairs, servicing, and asset movements are accurately recorded in Gearbox Monitor and verify statutory compliance for VLCs, Slewing Cranes, EWPs, and all classified plant Ensure all statutory inspections (90-day, annual, major inspections, NDT methods, rope certifications, accumulator certifications, etc.) are completed to required standards Support site teams to ensure compliance with safety and operational requirements Identify defects, rework, or non-conformances and liaise with workshop teams for rectification Assist in improving fleet reliability and minimising repeated defects Provide constructive feedback to enhance workshop processes and standards About You Mechanical trade background (Heavy Diesel, Automotive, Plant Mechanic, or similar) Strong understanding of classified plant (Cranes, EWPs, VLCs) Understanding of statutory compliance requirements and Australian Standards Computer literate (experience with Gearbox highly regarded) Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to quality control Effective communicator able to work with workshop and site teamsCommitment to safety and continuous improvement Why Join Genus?
